After the launch of Yamaha outboard motor sales in 1965, the Finnish wholesale giant Kesko experienced rapid growth in the Yamaha boat engine sector. Even back then, customers wanted to purchase a motor and boat as a complete package. As a result, the decision was made to develop their own boat – a high-quality, self-designed product. Thus, in 1972, Yamarin was born – a story of Finnish boatbuilding expertise and success. Today, Yamarin produces both fiberglass and aluminum/fiberglass boats, which are highly popular in the Scandinavian countries.
