Seaguar brand was founded in 1971 in Japan by the Kureha Corporation and is the inventor of the world's first fluorocarbon fishing line. It was developed by Hiroshi Ishii and Yoshio Yoshida as a nearly invisible, high-density, and low-stretch alternative to nylon. Today, Kureha is the only fishing line manufacturer that produces its own raw PVDF resin, allowing for total quality control from the raw material to the finished product. The company's range includes world-renowned fluorocarbon lines, as well as lesser-known but equally high-quality nylon and braided lines.
